Disney Running Logo for the 2014 Dumbo Double Dare Challenge, or: “Why don’t you tell me what’s going on…”

If you’re a longtime reader of this blog — and by longtime I mean about 2 years, because that’s as far back as we go here at Hokey Industries Intl. — then you’ve done this dance four times with me now. So why not a fifth?

And to you newer readers, welcome to our Run Disney tradition! You see, every time we do a Disney race, we make a habit of printing up specialty race shirts for the occasion. It’s part of the fun, of course, and a cool way to ramp up excitement for the event. So over the past seven Disney race weekends, we’ve printed up six shirts (the only exception being the 2012 Tower of Terror 10-Miler, which might have been a portent of doom and woe), so why break with the habit now?

Here’s a little montage of our past shirts and logos:

Pretty spiffy, no? It retains a distinct nose of spiff. We are, for all intents and purposes, spifferiffic.

OK, got that outta my system. So as of this writing we are now three weeks and a few days out from the 2014 Disneyland Half Marathon weekend, in which I will be participating in the 5K, 10K, and Half. This will be my third year in a row attending the event, and my second year doing the Dumbo Double Dare Challenge (which involves running the 10K and Half Marathon back-to-back). So without further ado, we present our running shirt logo for our upcoming Run Disney ventures:

SPIFFY!

SPIFFY!

That’s a Badger B-Core Dry tech shirt, designed for big fun sweaty activities like running and Yahtzee. And not to be outdone, Boots got a version of her own for her awesome spectator activities:

MORE SPIFF!

MORE SPIFF!

As always, here’s my completely unsolicited endorsement of Logo Sportswear for my custom shirts. They do great work. And no, I’m not associated with the company in any way, other than being a big fan of the products and services. Check ’em out. Anyway, hope you enjoyed the unveiling. We still have Wine & Dine and Avengers races to go, so we’ll probably be doing this again twice more this year. Huzzah. Here’s the video:
