Heading to the Frankly Frosty Frontier of Anchorage, or: “Take me to the pilot of your soul…”

Yeah yeah, I haven’t been posting much lately. I know. Some recent… shall we say, “access control changes” have made it a wee bit more problematic to post as often and as perspicaciously as I’d like to. Plus I’ve been super freakin’ lazy and burnt out lately, but I think that’s going to change very soon. And by very soon, I mean, hopefully, like five minutes ago. Or whenever I get that Alaskan Summer Ale this airline is promising.

Well that should be a super huge clue. As I type this, our Air Alaska flight is at the start of our roughly 6 hour sojourn to Seattle, where we’ll cross over to our next leg and end up in Anchorage by around 3 in the morning. And that means one thing gang: Hokeyblog is going to Alaska for the Mayor’s Midnight Sun Marathon!

That’s right: this Saturday, June 20th, 2015, the FIT gang and I are hitting the trails and roads around Anchorage for 26.2 miles of bear avoidance and also other things. Plus tons of sightseeing, a glacier cruise, a trolley tour, a glacier trek, zip-lining, and maybe some reindeer sausages! It’s a mitzvah! Who knew?

And as always… here’s our mid-flight photo taken with more than a little bit of a healthy buzz going:

Shalom, aloha, and dobry den!

Shalom, aloha, and dobry den!

More to come, I’m sure. There will be tons to cover. So stick with me gang. This will definitely be an adventure of sorts. Talk you soon. Here’s the video:
