Disney Running logos for the Dumbo Double Dare challenge, or: “But technicolor pachyderms is really too much for me…”

So it’s about that time when I’m gearing up for my next Disney Run. Yup, Team Millheiser RULES!!! is packing up shop and heading out to Anaheim, CA for the Disneyland Half Marathon weekend coming up at the end of the month. If you recall, I ran the Half last year and absolutely had a most amazing time. Returning this year was a total no-brainer.

Despite the fact that my summer training took a SERIOUS blow due to a sudden and ongoing health condition — more about that in a later post — I still plan on giving it my all. No chance of a PR, but that’s OK. This event is just for fun. I’ll be running the Dumbo Double Dare challenge, which is a 10K Saturday morning and a half-marathon on Sunday. 19.3 miles over two days. Nifty! I might be in a wheelchair come Monday, but as long as I can grab my cream cheese-filled pretzel in Tomorrowland, I’ll be a happy camper.

So as per our usual tradition, we designed and ordered some custom Disney running shirts to celebrate the occasion. And without further ado, here they are:

DDD-Final

Pretty slick, huh? Now all I have to do is buckle down and get the last of my training in before tapering starts. As of right now, I got 30 days until showtime. Nervous? Pshaw. I might not be at my best right now, but I’ve still got Wessonality… right Florence??

"Preach on, Hokeydude!"

“Preach on, Hokeydude!”

Sometimes I sit and wonder where all my nonsense comes from :-\ Here’s the video:
