Hey all you fine folk hanging out and about in downtown Hokeyville. Your intrepid narrator is back with a quick rundown of the 2019 Best Damn Race Season, and why we here at HokeyCorp Industries LLC (entirely fictitious) really, truly believe this race series is totally worth your time.<\/p>\n

And I’ll tell you, I’m a fan. And yes, I’m an Ambassador, which doesn’t really mean much of everything except (1) the other ambassadors are a ridiculously fun group of ridiculously attractive people who let me hang out with them from time to time, and (2) I get to promote a product I wholeheartedly support.<\/p>\n

Also (3) it gives me an excuse to travel throughout Florida, and sometimes outside this fershlugginer state, to race some pretty buttkickin’ races.<\/p>\n

But let’s give a recap of WHY I dig\u00a0Best Damn Race\u00a0<\/strong>events:<\/p>\n

Over the past few years,\u00a0Best Damn Race<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0has acquired something of a very popular reputation among runners in Florida. Surely with a title as self-aggrandizing as \u201cBest Damn Race\u201d, it surely must offer\u00a0something<\/em>\u00a0beyond the ordinary, correct?<\/p>\n

Indeed they do\u2026 and what BDR has is an\u00a0ethos<\/em>! How many races can lay claim to an\u00a0ethos<\/em>? Ethoses are hard to come by these days\u2026 and for the record, \u2018ethoses\u2019 is street-legal as a plural to \u2018ethos\u2019. I could also have gone with \u2018ethe\u2019 or \u2018ethea\u2019\u2026 but those are kind of gauche, really.<\/p>\n

But what kind of\u00a0ethos<\/em>\u00a0are we talking here? Their tagline is\u00a0A Race For Runners, By Runners<\/strong>. Simply put, BDR provides big-ticket race experiences that go toe-to-toe with the big-name races out there, replete with all the swag, bling, and complimentary accouterments, all the while keeping costs at local event prices.<\/p>\n

For example, each non-challenge race starts out with $1 (for the first 10 participants to register), $5 (for participants 11-20), $10 (for participants 21-30), $15 (for participants 31-40).<\/p>\n
