Yeah I think that sets up our penultimate Buttkickin’ Halloween Song song pretty well, but you have to admit that it’s one of the creepiest, doomiest songs ever recorded. Inspired by a dream experienced by bassist/lyricist Geezer Butler, Black Sabbath weaves a terrifying tale of a damned soul thrust before Satan, engulfed by rising flames, while he begs God in vain for salvation…

From the opening wind, rain, and ominous church bell to the infamous “Devil’s Triad” note progression by guitarist Tony Iommi, highlighted by Ozzy Osborne’s sinister vocals, this is a metal classic and a quintessential Halloween song. This video pairs the song with the legendary “Night On Bald Mountain” sequence from Disney’s Fantasia, which gives the entire affair an even more demonic appeal. Muahahaha…
